In our modern, polite society, we've found many natural human traits to be social faux pas. Today, unlike days of old, almost no one accepts spitting in someone's face while eating rice pudding. The disease's cause has been linked to many things, such as cigarette smoking, high levels of radiation, wearing alpaca wool in warm weather, and toad licking. These diverse causes led most researchers to believe that a common denominator for cancer would be difficult if not impossible to find.
